Experimental Application of a Quasi Static Adaptive Controller to a Dual Independent Swirl Combustor
A quasi-static adaptive controller is applied to a swirl-stabilized gas turbine model combustor called the Dual Independent Swirl Combustor (DISCo) with the primary objective of reducing the amplitude of thermoacoustic instabilities while commanding a change in the combustor exit temperature, which mimics a net power variation and corresponds to a problem of more practical relevance in a power generation unit.
